What are AVCs?
Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs) are a tax efficient way of buying extra pension at or after retirement. The AVCs are paid into an investment fund and grow with investment returns until you decide to draw them (which must be at or after retirement). At retirement your AVCs can be used to buy extra Lump sum or pension benefits.
British Airways Pensions has three AVC funds which currently have no charges. For more details see the AVC information and enquiry form.
