Is the money in the pension fund safe?
The pension Scheme monies are held in trusts. These trusts (APS and NAPS) are entirely separate from British Airways and BA has no control over the funds. That control is left to the Trustees. There are separate boards of Trustees for APS and NAPS to reflect the fact that the monies are held in separate funds and the membership profile of each Scheme is different. The separate boards consist of 12 NAPS Trustees, 6 of whom have been elected by the membership and 12 APS Trustees, 6 of whom have been elected by the membership.
