Can I take a tax-free Lump sum?

Yes, most people can exchange part of their pension for cash when they retire. The Lump sum is tax-free under current legislation. The maximum amount is set by HM Revenue and Customs. We will write to you at retirement to let you know the maximum amount that applies to you. You can take any amount up to the maximum.
