The monthly contribution you make under the Final Salary Scheme includes a 1.5% payment for a Spouse or partner pension on your death.
If as a result of separating from your spouse or partner, you want to stop making the additional payment, you can do so for the future. We cannot reduce the 1.5% additional contribution for a spouse or partner for any previous period.
If you start paying for spouse's cover and then stop you can only re-start one more time. If you have a spouse or partner in the future you cannot go back and pay for cover for the period you haven't paid.
Any change can only be made on the first of the month and you need to give us one calendar month's written notice.
